Social Media Comments on Media Representations of Consensual Non‐Monogamies
Facebook comments to posts made by two Portuguese news organisations about a 10+-min segment on polyamory aired on Portuguese open-access national television (SIC) in 2014. The piece was aired within the context of a segment that celebrated the 40-year anniversary of the 1974 liberal revolution that overthrew the right-wing dictatorial regime that ruled Portugal for more than half of the twentieth century. This context served to frame polyamory (alongside other topics) as explicitly political by presenting them as freedoms seized by that liberal revolution. UKP Sentential Argument Mining Corpus
The corpus consists of more than 25,000 sentences over eight topics with high quality annotations done by crowdworkers. Each sentence is annotated as either an argument, including the stance towards the topic (pro or con), or no argument. The sentences origin from heterogeneous text types and the eight topics allow for cross-topic experiments.

Argotario: Fallacies in argumentation
An important skill in critical thinking and argumentation is the ability to spot and recognize fallacies. Fallacious arguments, omnipresent in argumentative discourse, can be deceptive, manipulative, or simply leading to `wrong moves' in a discussion. This corpus contains English and German fallacious arguments collected through the serious-game Argotario. Each argument is labeled as non-fallacious or containing exactly one type of fallacy (several fallacy types).

Argument Reasoning Comprehension
Reasoning is a crucial part of natural language argumentation. To comprehend an argument, one must analyze its warrant, which explains why its claim follows from its premises. As arguments are highly contextualized, warrants are usually presupposed and left implicit. Thus, the comprehension does not only require language understanding and logic skills, but also depends on common sense. We provide a freely licensed dataset with warrants for 2k authentic arguments from news comments. The following annotations were carried out: stance of the argument, reason spans, added warrants explaining reasoning from premises to the claim.

303 readers’ comments on the 2010 Brazilian Presidential Election, published in two Portuguese newspapers
The dataset integrates the Portuguese funded project “Female Online Participation: redefining the public sphere” (2010-2011). The team has focused on a variety of online public spheres, ranging from the traditionally political to the more unconventional political. The diverse case studies that integrated this project were subjected to a common analysis grid, with variables designed to define the discursive mode of the messages exchanged in the analysed fora, such as rationality of argumentation, civility or degree of rational legitimacy, among others. In this particular case, we chose to observe the readers’ comments in the news focused on the Brazilian presidential campaign, taking mainly into account the research of Tsaliki and other theoretical/empirical proposals that incorporate Habermas’ ethics of discourse in the analysis of online political forums. Additionally, we aim to introduce new dimensions for both theoretical and empirical researches on this matter, in order to seek for complementary academic approaches that go beyond habermasian ideals of deliberative democracy. The Brazilian presidential campaign gained substantial journalistic coverage in Portugal (71 articles in Público online; and 60 news stories in Expresso online), due to the cultural proximity news value. We have focused only on the articles (six) that received the greatest number of comments in both websites; we have analysed 303 readers’ comments (139 in Público and 164 in Expresso), using Nvivo, a qualitative and quantitative data analysis software. The unit analysis chosen for coding was the paragraph; each one was coded into one or more categories/subcategories. We also observed the word frequency among the readers’ comments analysed. In-depth Interviews with 10 journalists and editors on the topic of online comments’ moderation conducted between 2013 and 2014
The interviews were conducted in the period of my post-doctoral research (2012-2015), which focused, among other aspects, on the Portuguese journalists’ views and attitudes on audience participation, particularly online comments. The main purpose of these interviews was to explore the ways by which diverse Portuguese print media outlets are handling audience participation in the online environment, drawing on the perspectives of journalists and editors-in-chief in what concerns their practices, self-perceptions, expectations and policies on user contributions management strategies, workflows and relationship with the audience and editorial/corporate goals and interests. All interviews took place in Lisbon, lasted between 1 and 2 hours and were recorded electronically. I have the audio files (but not the transcripts). Main arguments about CCS in French press articles (1996-2017)
The corpus describes the main arguments found in French articles based on a research on Europresse. We selected articles based on keywords (carbon+capture+storage and/or geological+storage). We coded each article depending on the actors mentionned in the text (one line per actor) and the arguments they broadcasted. Arguments which were not attached to a specific actor were attached automatically to the journalist. The corpus shows aggregated arguments but we started from a variety of arguments and then synthetized them into broader categories.
